Joshua Friedman

PsyD

Reaching out for support is not always easy.  My aim is to offer a space that feels welcoming and comfortable—somewhere you can talk openly, feel listened to, and not have to carry everything on your own. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan. We’ll figure things out together, step by step, in a way that feels genuine and manageable for you.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist offering warm, collaborative online therapy for adolescents and adults across New York State. My approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that people grow when they feel genuinely seen and supported. I integrate psychodynamic insight with practical, evidence-based strategies to help clients deepen self-awareness and build the coping skills needed to manage stress, regulate emotions, and strengthen relationships. I view therapy as a partnership and I strive to create a space where clients can explore openly and move toward meaningful, lasting change. I work with diverse individuals and families experiencing a wide range of challenges. I offer flexible, accessible online therapy throughout New York State and aim to help clients feel grounded, empowered, and supported as they work toward improved emotional well-being.
